Boynton Beach Sculpture Opportunity

ARTISTS . . . The Avenue of the Arts is a year-long artwork exhibit program that’s designed to evoke the public’s imagination, provoke creativity and invoke senses.  Avenue of the Arts is the creation of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida’s Arts Commission and is managed through the Art in Public Places program.

As visitors travel from Boynton Beach Boulevard down Seacrest Boulevard, east on Ocean Avenue to the Boynton Harbor Marina Intracoastal in Civic Cultural District in Boynton Beach, Florida they will discover twelve inspiring artworks.

Along the way they will learn about the City's amenities such as the City Library, Schoolhouse Children’s Museum, Civic Center, Art Center and the Boynton Harbor Marina. The Civic Cultural District  features multiple artworks including the recent public art suspended in 100 year old specimen trees. The Avenue of the Arts is amongst shops, restaurants, fishing, diving, and other local businesses. Group tours frequent the Avenue of the Arts.

The Art in Public Places program may purchase one, or more, of the artworks for permanent placement in Boynton Beach.  To date, six artworks were purchased for permanent placement in the City with many participating artists awarded additional commissions and private sales. All the artwork is for sale. Artists recieve a $1,000 steipend and the City provides property insurance. The Avenue of the Arts is marketed with print brochures, social media, web site and gains the attention of the media.
