Kissimmee Main Street has announced their eighth annual Kissimmee Sculpture Experience and are calling for artists to display their sculptures in Downtown Kissimmee for the 2014-2015 exhibit.
“It’s the Kissimmee Sculpture Experience’s eighth year and we are looking forward to showcasing more exciting and unique pieces to our already beautiful historic downtown district here in Kissimmee,” said Brianne Stefek, executive director of Kissimmee Main Street.
Each artist chosen to participate in the 2014-2015 Kissimmee Sculpture Experience will receive a $750 travel stipend and will have a chance to win the additional $500 prize money for Best of Show.
There are two other award possibilities, which include the People’s Choice Award and the Kid’s Choice Award. Each piece is on loan to the exhibit and will be available for purchase with Kissimmee Main Street receiving 20 percent of the sale proceeds to fund future events. Sculptors can submit up to three pieces for a minimal fee of $50.00. All submissions must be postmarked by September 12, 2014.
